Rick revealed his disdain for love in "Rick Potion", in which he considered it "a chemical reaction that forces animals to breed". When the mutant Rick and Morty were unable to reverse all humans on Earth except for their family members, they abandoned their original dimensions, Dimension C-137 (and their families that afternoon.), for a new one. Rick locates a universe in which his own alternate version undo the damage caused by the love potion, but where the new dimension of Rick and Morty was killed, allowing C-137 Rick and Morty takes his place.
